Biocontrol & Biosolutions

One central pillar of the European Green Deal  is the reduction of pesticides by 50% by 2030 considering their potential negative impact on environment (water, soil and air) and human health. This is in line with the French action plan “Ecophyto” that has been set up to reach the same target  at a national level. 

France, and more broadly Europe, is now ready to invest in biocontrol solutions as an alternative to pesticides. Indeed this industry is worth €1.4 billion in Europe. The development of biostimulants and biofertilizers is also essential to ensure efficient yields with a decreasing use of chemical inputs in a context of increasing global population and shrinking arable land.
